Denied Life Insurance Claim?
A Life Insurance Lawyer Can Help Collect
Your Denied Insurance Benefits

The Life & Property Insurance Law Offices of Heather D. Lee is a multi-state life insurance and property insurance law practice best known for representing victims of wrongfully delayed and denied life insurance claims, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) claims, and ERISA claims.  We also handle life insurance beneficiary disputes, denied renters and homeowners insurance claims, auto theft claims, premises liability and other property insurance claims.

Since 2011, life insurance lawyer Heather D. Lee has dedicated her career to helping insureds and beneficiaries stand up to big insurance, collecting millions in delayed and denied life and property insurance benefits on behalf of her clients.

Our mission is to protect
your rights and your family.

It is no secret that life insurance companies make huge profits, year after year, by collecting life insurance premiums and later delaying or denying claims.  Many delayed and denied life insurance claims are illegitimate, made in bad faith, and motivated solely by profit.  Life insurance companies benefit by wrongfully rescinding or terminating policies, while retaining years of faithfully paid premiums.  If a life insurance claim is delayed or denied, the life insurer will issue correspondence designed to confuse the insured or beneficiary, or to deter them from legally pursuing the case.  When insureds and beneficiaries are vulnerable and without the strength and resources to fight against a powerful, national life insurance company, they will often just accept the insurer's illegitimate reasons for delaying and denying the claim, or for rescinding or terminating a policy.

Even though federal and state laws require life insurance companies to conduct prompt and reasonable claim investigations, insurers frequently delay claims for months or even years.  The insured or beneficiary may become desperate to accept a "low ball" settlement offer made by the life insurance company in bad faith.  Sometimes, life insurers refuse to respond to claims at all, or fail to provide a sufficient explanation or proper evidence to support a life insurance claim denial, hoping the insured or beneficiary will just give up on the claim.  When you give up on a delayed or denied life insurance claim without hiring an experienced life insurance lawyer, the insurer automatically wins.

We Don't Charge Legal Fees
Unless & Until We Win

We understand that the death of a loved one, a tragic accident, or the unexpected loss of your home or valuables can cause not only emotional suffering, but also extreme financial hardship.  It is our mission to protect your rights and your family during these difficult times.  We fight illegitimate life insurance practices, no matter how large or small the life insurance claim.  Life insurers and property insurers can easily take advantage of insureds and beneficiaries who do not hire an experienced life insurance attorney.

Unfortunately, many life insurance beneficiaries who have legitimate claims never seek the help of a life insurance lawyer because they simply cannot afford one.  That is why we offer free claim evaluations and low contingent-fee rates on all delayed and denied life insurance claims, to ensure that our clients have access to qualified legal representation without worrying about the extensive costs of litigation.

We Collect Life Insurance Benefits Fast

At the Life & Property Insurance Law Offices of Heather D. Lee, we respect our clients and recognize the importance of communication in the lawyer-client relationship.  Attorney Lee personally handles her life insurance cases from intake to resolution, and is always available to provide case updates and answer her clients' questions directly.  We take time to explain the law because we want you to feel confident about your decision to pursue your case.  When pursuing a delayed or denied life insurance claim, we work to resolve the case quickly, and if possible, without incurring the substantial risks and costs inherent in litigation.  We will not hesitate, however, to litigate your life insurance case if necessary to achieve the recovery that you deserve.

We work hard to get the compensation that our clients deserve, at times when they need it most.  You shouldn't have to fight bad faith insurance practices alone, and now you don't have to.  If we pursue your wrongfully delayed or denied insurance claim, we will not charge any up-front fees, and no legal fees will become due unless and until the life or property insurance company pays your claim.  By seeking our legal help on your case, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  If your life insurance claim or property insurance claim has been delayed or denied, do not give up without a fight.

Ask A Life Insurance Attorney
About Your Denied Insurance Claim

Do I have a case?

We have one goal:
to solve your insurance problem.

Insurance companies will often request unnecessary documents or information which may not exist or are difficult for the insured or beneficiary to obtain, and denial letters are issued containing lengthy, complex, and confusing explanations in "support" of wrongful and illegitimate life insurance claim denials.  These misleading tactics are just some of many bad faith insurance practices designed to make insureds and their beneficiaries accept "low ball" settlement offers or give up on delayed and denied life insurance claims altogether.

You should speak to an experienced insurance attorney if your life insurance claim or property insurance claim has been denied, or if payment is delayed for more than 30-60 days.  Do not attempt to fight a wrongful insurance claim denial alone.  What you say and do could cause you to lose your case.  In ERISA cases, for example, if you file an administrative appeal without the assistance of a life insurance attorney, you may omit material evidence resulting in the waiver of your right to later use that evidence in court proceedings.  If you miss an administrative, contractual, or statutory deadline, it could result in your life insurance claim being forever barred in court.
